Goal Seek rules that improve your target

Target

Min runs

Scan

Pick a target and click Find improvements. Goal Seek scans your system's breakdowns for single rules to add that lift the target — each one significance-checked (χ²) so you're not chasing noise.

Auto-build build a system toward a target, step by step

Reach

Max steps

Start from an empty system (ignore my current rules)

Set a target and click Build it. Auto-build repeatedly adds the single rule that best moves your target — and holdout-checks every step (trains on the older data, then tests on the last 12 months), stopping the moment a rule only works in-sample. It extends your current rules unless you tick "start empty". Needs at least 24 months in your date range; the first step can take up to a minute on a broad system.

Trim rules worth removing or loosening

Target

Min runs

Pick a target and click Find rules to cut. Trim re-tests each rule with it removed and flags which to drop (a real edge says they're costing you), loosen (volume levers that barely move your target) or keep (load-bearing) — every removal significance-checked (χ²).

Frontier volume vs return as one rule tightens

Rule to sweep

Values (comma-separated, max 12)

rule-off point

Pick one of your numeric rules and a ladder of values, then hit Sweep. Each point re-runs the whole back-test with just that number changed — the chart shows how volume and BSP ROI trade off as the rule tightens, so you can pick the threshold with your eyes open instead of trusting one magic number.

Bank axis

Back-test only. In-running prices exist only after a race has been run, so a DOB/TROB result can never be known in advance. Your system's selections are still live-usable — this tab shows how those selections would have settled under this strategy historically.

Re-stakes the exact bets this system matched, at the chosen price. A finite bank that can bust (stop at £0). Kelly uses the system's realised edge on each runner's market-implied chance — illustrative, not a forward model. Bust-risk = % of 200 reshuffles of the bet order that bust the bank.
