Top rated on the tissue, top on the power rating, top on speed, top on pace: quite often that is four different horses. So which ranking should you follow? The video tests all four on one course, and the method takes a couple of minutes.
One question, asked four times
One of our members has been working this out the obvious way: the same conditions, asked again and again, changing only the ranking. The video does the same. In the System Builder, type "Wolverhampton all-weather, horses ranked in the top three on the tissue" into the Ask box and press Build it. The rules appear with a line saying what was understood, so you can check it heard you right before you run it.
Then change one word at a time: the power rating instead of the tissue, then speed (the horse's best speed figure), then pace. Save each one as you go. Four runs, and the only thing that changed was which ranking chose the horses.
What to read
On each run, look at three figures: how many runs, the strike rate, and A/E. A/E is actual winners against the number the Betfair Starting Price expected, so 1.00 means the market had them exactly right. Leave the profit figure aside while you are comparing rankings.
Side by side
The Portfolio page puts saved systems in the same columns. At Wolverhampton the strike rates are well apart: the power rating's top three win most often and pace's the least. But A/E sits at about 1.00 for all four. The market already prices every one of these rankings at this course.
That is still a useful answer. The rankings disagree, and which one suits a track is something you can test rather than argue about. Here the test says start from the power rating, and treat it as the base you build on, not the bet. Keep that system switched on and the qualifiers hub lists the horses on the day's card that fit it, ready for the next rule you add.
