RaceMetrics has a new look. Every page now shares one clean design, from the racecard and the dashboard to the System Builder and the profile pages, and every page comes in a light mode and a dark mode. The video above takes a minute to show it.

Light or dark, your choice on every page

At the top of every page there is a sun and moon button. Click it to switch between light and dark. Each page remembers the choice you made on the device you made it on, so you can keep the racecard light for reading and the dashboard dark, or the other way round.

Each page starts in the mode that suits it. The dashboard, Market Movers and the chart-heavy pages open dark; the racecard and most other pages open light, so the figures are easy to read. If you had already picked a theme on the Weather Centre, the Going Predictor or Meeting Pace, which had their own switches before, your choice has been carried across. Anything you print still comes out light.

The racecard

The racecard keeps every view and every column it had. On a race that has been run, the first three home wear gold, silver and bronze medals, and the top figure in each column is picked out in gold, so the standouts catch your eye in either mode.

Menus and search

The menus keep the same four sections as before (Racecards, System Builder, Profiles and RM7), laid out more tidily. To jump straight to a tool, press Ctrl K (Cmd K on a Mac) on any page and start typing its name. On a phone, the menu sits in a bar along the bottom of the screen, within reach of your thumb.

Nothing else has changed

This is a new frame, not a new set of tools. Your saved systems, My Card layouts, patterns, ratings and preferences are all exactly where you left them, and every feature works as it did.
