Plenty of racing people still study a race the way they learned on the printed paper: price up every runner, write a note under each horse, and take the marked-up card with them. If that is how you work, every part of it works on My Card.
Your prices, and your book
Add the My Odds column to your My Card layout and every runner gets an entry box. Type a price the way you would write it, as a fraction such as 9/2 (a decimal like 5.5 works too), and press Enter or click away. It saves by itself, a small tick confirms it, and nothing on the card moves, so you can work straight down the field.
The My Odds heading adds up your book as you go: the chances your prices imply, added together, with a count of how many runners you have priced so far. Once every runner has a price the count drops away. A hundred per cent is a fair book; anything above it means your own prices carry a margin.
Beside it, My Rating takes your own figure for each runner, decimals welcome. Your odds and your figures are saved as rating sets of their own, so they show on every view and export to a spreadsheet.
Reserves stay out until they run
A reserve carries a small R before its card number and starts unticked in the Book column, so a price on it sits on the card without swelling your book. If it gets a run, tick it and it counts; untick it and it is out again. Your choice is saved for that runner and follows you onto any device.
Notes under each horse
Click the small pencil beside a horse's name, write your note and press Enter. It appears as a quiet line running the width of the card under that runner. A note belongs to the horse, not the race: file it as General and it sits under that horse on every card it runs on, or file it under Flat Turf & NHF, Flat AW, Hurdle or Chase and it shows on cards of that race type. The horse's profile has a My Notes tab with all of them together.
Form that runs down the page
Click a runner's form to open its runs underneath. The run where headgear went on for the first time gets its own line, such as 1st Time Visor or 1st Time Cheek Pieces, as does a first run since wind surgery or for a new trainer. A layoff of 50 days or more shows as a break between runs. The Breaks and Changes buttons switch those lines off, and the number of days that counts as a break is yours to set under Account, then Preferences.
Then print it
The Print button next to Customise lists the day's races still to run. Tick one race or a whole meeting, choose how many runs of form to include under each horse (up to ten) and pick a text size. The print view lays every race out with your own columns, your prices, your Book ticks and your notes printed on the card, and each runner's form underneath in card order. Print it, or choose Save as PDF in the print dialog, and take it racing with a pen.
