What is Ask?

Ask lets you query the RaceMetrics database using natural language. Just type your question and the AI will translate it into a database query and return the results.

Example Questions

"Which trainers have the best strike rate at Cheltenham?"
"Show me horses with ratings above 1600"
"Top 10 jockeys by wins in the last 30 days"
"Sires with the best P/L on soft ground"

LLM Provider

Choose which AI model processes your query. Different providers may give different results. Anthropic Claude is recommended for best accuracy.

Show SQL

Enable this to see the generated SQL query. Useful for understanding how your question was interpreted and for debugging.

Results

Results are displayed in a table. Click column headers to sort. Click any name to open their full profile with detailed statistics.

Tips

  • Be specific with your questions
  • Include time periods if relevant (e.g., "last 6 months")
  • Mention course, going, or class for filters
  • Ask for "top 10" or "best" for rankings
